Silver Creek Campground is located in a wooded area comprising of 320 acres, making it perfect for tent and hammock camping. There are 75 campsites with a grill and picnic table situated among trees. Because of the primitive nature of the campground, there are pump water stations and vault toilets. The campground connects to 30 miles of horseback riding trails which are suitable for hiking. Four hundred and fifty feet of frontage of a spring fed trout stream runs along a foot path. A pavilion is available with picnic tables and grills for day use which can be reserved.

Ely Lake Campground has several trails for hiking, backpacking, trail running and cross-country skiing. Located within the Allegan State Game Area, Ely offers a the feeling of a backcountry camping experience that is located close to town. There are 73 primitive campsites (16 of which are open to equestrian camping), water pump, vault toilets, and a swimming beach on Ely Lake. Bring your stand up paddle board, as the lake is rather large. You will also find DNR Public Access sites to both Ely and Little Tom Lakes. (Ely has a “no motor” rule, so bring your canoe or row boat!) Ely is open year round, so come out and enjoy some fabulous fall or winter camping and ice fishing!
