Silver Creek County Campground / Park
Silver Creek Campground / Park is a rustic campground with 75 campsites located in a natural forest environment. In keeping with the primitive nature, there are no modern restrooms, but vault toilets and hand pump water stations. Each of the wooded campsites have a picnic table and grill. Silver Creek is 320 acres in size connecting to 30 miles of horseback riding trails which makes the park is ideal for horse camping. These trails can be used by x-country skiers and hikers also. Silver Creek Campground also has 450 feet of frontage on Silver Creek, which is a spring fed trout stream. In the day use area, there is a reservable pavilion with picnic tables and grills that will accommodate up to 50 people. Geocaching markers are set up in the campground for the inquisitive type of person who wants to explore. The special entity about Silver Creek Campground is that the entire park is primarily wooded, providing for plenty of shade in the hot summer months and some spectacular foliage color in the fall. Silver Creek Park is open year round and has some spectacular fall and winter camping available.
