The number of campsites varies depending on the type of camping equipment and amount of space used by individual campers. No reservations are accepted. Fee: $5 per camping unit.

Loft Mountain Campground is located near Milepost 80 on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, approximately two-and-a-half hours from Washington, DC. With nearly 200 campsites, Loft Mountain is a family oriented campground with access to hiking trails and concessionaire facilities. Spruce Knob Lake Campground is located west of Spruce Knob, the highest point in West Virginia. There is one loop with 28 single campsites, 2 double campsites and 12 walkin sites.
