These trails are used most heavily by mountain bikes and infrequently by large horse groups. No motorized vehicles are allowed.
The trail leaves the campground near the NW end and heads out to Rd. 1720 for a 1 1/4 mile jaunt on the road to pick up the trail into the forest once more. Views of Mt. Hood and wildflowers are the primary scenic values. There is spring-fed water in the campground.
NW Forest Pass required.
From Portland drive Hwy. 26 east to Jct. Hwy. 35. Take Hwy. 35 approx. 10 miles to Forest Service Rd. 44. Turn right onto Rd. 44. then left on Rd. 17, then onto Rd. 1720 to Knebal Springs Campground. The trail begins in the campground.
