Trail Map |
The trail starts out across a rock slide and the first 5 miles of the trail follow Warm Springs Creek on an easy grade to the "Three Forks" junction of Warm Springs, Porcupine and Prayer Creeks. From there, the trail begins climbing to the pass to Overwhich Creek and Trail # 673.
Twogood Cabin (a Forest Service Rental Cabin) is an easy 1-mile hike up Pocupine Creek. From the top of the pass, you can either go southeast down Overwhich 1/4 miles to Overwhich Falls or go northwest down Fault Creek to Pass and Capri Lakes.
From Hamilton Montana, go south on Highway 93 approximately 35 miles to Medicine Springs Road #370. Turn west and go approximately 4 miles to the Crazy Creek Campground. Winter conditions may prevent access by vehicle to the trailhead.
There is good parking for vehicles and stock trailers at the trailhead, located next to the Crazy Creek Campground. There is additional parking and stock unloading facilities at the Lower Crazy Creek Stock Campground 1/4 mile closer to the Highway.
