2.6 mile moderately strenuous round trip trip hike from the picnic area to observation point of an 83' waterfall. To return by a different route, take the fire road and Appalachian Trail back up to make a 3.3 mile circuit. Add an additional 1.4 mile spur to reach the base of the falls.
Drive to the South River Picnic Area at MP 62.5 on Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.
