The trailhead has ample parking available. This trail offers spectacular views of the Wenaha River; however, the lower section of this trail may have rattlesnakes so be extremely careful. It is an access route to the Wenaha River area.
The trail begins at Cross Canyon Trailhead and descends gradually with switchbacks to the Wenaha River. The trail is rocky in areas.
From Troy, Oregon, take Forest Service Road #62 to the west. Five miles past Long Meadows Guard Station, turn right on Road #6217 for a couple of miles to the trailhead.
