This is a fire road very popular for hiking, Mtn Biking, and horse back riding. The road is open during daylight hours only. Total length is 9 miles. First mile has quite a bit of elevation gain on a oak wooded North slop. Various points give you great views of Oakview, Ojai, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Paula, and Camarillo. Wonderful display of wildflowers in the spring but dry and hot in the summer and fall. I've seen quite a bit of wildlife on this trail as well as cattle.
From hwy 101 take hwy 33 North to, turn right on Sulfur Mountain road, and park near the gate.
