In Morgan-Monroe State Forest. Great day hiking or short backpacking trip. Back country camping allowed.
Can be wet in the spring. Hunting is allowed in the State Forest so if hiking in winter wear something bright orange.
There is an old settlers cabin you can hike to on a side trail that the state rents out (reservations needed)
From Bloomington take Rt 37 North toward Indianapolis for 12 miles turn right on old 37 and follow it for about 4 miles to the fork, go left at the fork and the trail head is about 3 miles or so further down on the right
