Big Meadows Del Norte Campground
Big Meadows is located in the San Juan Mountains in south central Colorado, west of South Fork. The campground is heavily wooded with spruce trees which shade the campsites and provide privacy for each site.
There is a barrier free fishing pier, boat ramp, and the reservoir is stocked with fish each season and a 2 mile nature trail around the reservoir. Campers come here to enjoy fishing, hiking and boating.
The surrounding area also has plenty to keep visitors busy; there are Native American Ruins, remnants of the Spanish Conquistadors, and gold rush ghost towns. The Sangre de Cristo and San Juan Ranges are laced with trails for the avid outdoors lovers.
Reservations can be made mid-May through Labor Day weekend. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance, but they must be made at least four days prior to your intended arrival date.
