This section of the Holliday Nature Preserve has mutliple trail choices ranging from half mile to over mile and a half long. Beautiful day hike have seen coyotes deer and many birds onthis trail.
This is for the Koppernick Trail section. The whole system runs from Nankin Mills in Hines Park ending in the Koppernick section. Several sections of the whole system aren't currently maintained due to Wayne County funding issues. I have hiked the entire system so it is doable but you can wind up bushwhacking some sections. The Koppernick section is well maintained and one of my favorite local hikes. You forget you are in the city while hiking this trail system. Highly recommend this whole system but this is one of my favorite sections of the system. A gravel parking lot with plenty of space and the trail loops to and from this lot. Heading west is usually the best way to enter the trail system. It is marked on the trail. The link is to a map of this section. Enjoy
