Trail follows the ridge of the mountain and intersects with the Appalachian Trail after 3.5 miles, turn left at the AT. You will reach Kelly's Knob which overlooks Blacksburg after another 1.5 miles. Continue on the Appalachian Trail for another 4 miles down the mountain and back to your car parked along Hwy 42.
