Easy but scenic trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway

Fairly easy yet scenic trail parallels the Blue Ridge Parkway spur and passes around the Chestnut Ridge Campground. Several connector trails allow the length of the hike to be shortened. Location is near Mill Mountain & Roanoke Mountain so the hike can be combined with visiting either of these two attractions.

From Roanoke take the Fishburne Parkway heading toward the Blue Ridge Parkway. Pass by the Mill Mountain spur road on the right followed by the Chestnut Ridge Campground, also on the right. On the left, just past the campground, is the main trailhead for the Chestnut Ridge Trail.
