Edit |
The Babel Tower trail offers beautiful views of the gorge and river from the top of Babel Tower. The climb of Babel Tower is strenuous and risky as it is very steep.
From the Babel Tower Trailhead follow the trail downhill towards the gorge. Before reaching Babel Tower, you will cross the Linville Gorge Trail. Continue straight on the Babel Tower trail and follow the trail to the left of the rock formation. Keep going until you see a potential trail/path that could lead to the top.
Make sure to check out Wiseman's View which is nearby the trailhead.
Note:
The trails in the Linville Gorge Wilderness are not blazed and signs are scarce. Make sure to have a good map from the Forest Service before going on a hike.
