Edit

Trimble Mountain Trail forms a loop that begins near the entrance to the campground at Todd Lake. The trail has gentle grades, and can be walked by the average hiker in about three hours. Water is scarce along the trail, and an adequate supply should be carried.

Insect repellent is recommended to protect against mosquitoes, which usually are abundant during the summer here.

Snakes can also be found in this part of the Forest. They are rarely seen, and most are harmless, except for timber rattlesnake and copperhead that should be treated with caution.

Trimble Mountain Trail is marked with yellow, diamond-shaped blazes. Markers are placed at one-quarter mile intervals, or closer along more difficult sections or at intersections, along the trail.
