Lake Linda is located at the trailhead. The trail slowly climbs through a mixed stand of lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, and true fir. Lake Charline is located midway along the route. The trail emerges on the south end of Calamut Lake where it joins with a footpath around the lake. All three lakes provide excellent breeding ground for mosquitoes. Very early spring, just after ice-out or late summer-early fall are the best times to visit.
