From the Punchbowl Overlook cross the Blue Ridge Parkway and pick up the white blazed Appalachian Trail (South Bound). After a steep climb for .5 miles, you will reach the Punchbowl Shelter. Continue following the white blazed AT climbing to the summit of Bluff Mountain in another 1.5 miles. From the summit, there are views to the West and East.
