You can access this trail from Forest Road 59 or from the Sunset Field Overlook at milepost 78.7 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Starting from the bottom take the Apple Orchard Trail to the right. About half way (~1.5 miles) you will reach the base of the waterfall. Continue past the waterfall until you reach the Appalachian Trail (~1.5 miles) and take a right (southbound) on the AT. After about a mile you should look for the Cornelius Creek trail and take a right down the mountain for ~3 miles. This trail follows a creek with nice waterfalls along the way. It ends where you started the loop.
