Take 1-81 south to 1-77 north. Go north on 1-77 and take the Bland exit after the Big Walker Mt. tunnel.Turn left on VA 42. Go 3 miles and turn right onto VA 615, continuing 2.5 miles to the AT crossing. Park on the left just past the trail crossing.
