Hiked the trail today, 8/9/2010, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Short trail, gentle incline, and a fantastic view at the end. Unfortunately, a haze in the valley dulled the view. Notes re. the directions: 1) taking the second route mentioned above, the trailhead is closer to 2.5 miles from the last turn, rather than 4 miles. And though it is easy to miss the trailhead, there is now a post with the number '5' on it at the bottom of the steps.
