Curtis Canyon Campground
Curtis Canyon Campground is located in the Bridger Teton National Forest just 7 miles from downtown Jackson. There are 12 sites in a nice grove of pines trees that cost $12 per night. Beautiful views of the Tetons and Sheep Creek Canyon to the north. Many hiking trails are surrounding the area. Curtis Canyon Trail is directly behind the campground. Sheep Creek Canyon at the base of the first switchback right as you leave the valley floor and then the Goodwin Lake Trail and Jackson Peak Trail are located east of the campground up the second level of switchbacks.
NOTE: Goodwin Lake is mislabled on the map below. Goodwin Lake is next to Jackson Peak.
DIRECTIONS:
From Jackson, Proceed due east from the Jackson town square on East Broadway to the National Elk Refuge. Enter the Elk Refugee and follow the improved dirt road approximately 5.0 miles to the junction of the Flat Creek and Curtis Canyon roads. Turn right and proceed another 2 miles, finally ascending the long switchback leading up to the campground. Portions of this road are very bumpy but still passable to passenger vehicles. Not recommended for large camping vehicles over 25 feet.
